Working Principle

The 74HC238N decodes the binary combination applied to its three select inputs (A0, A1, A2) into one of eight outputs (Y0–Y7). When the IC is enabled, only one output goes LOW at a time, corresponding to the select input combination, while all other outputs remain HIGH.
